Who should write? American citizens who agree, disagree, or have recommendations regarding a current event, controversial subject, policy, or law.
What are the requirements? All letters must:
- Be addressed to a current event, subject, person(s), or policy.
- Be written from the perspective of a non-partisan author.
- Be professional in nature (i.e. not include profanity).
- Be well-supported (i.e. references).
- include at least one citation.
- Not exceed 1,000 words.
Where to send? Submit letters to The Citizenry Letters via e-mail. Please include the letter in the body of the e-mail. Letters included as an attachment will not be reviewed.
When will letters be reviewed? Letters will be reviewed as soon as possible.
When will letters be posted? Approved letters will be posted as soon as possible. Authors of all letters selected for approval will be notified prior to posting.
